Now celebrating it's 10th anniversary, the Manchester Amateur Choral Competition is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to bring togther amateur choirs from all over the UK and celebrate the power of making music through song. Singing in a choir is known to be hugely beneficial, from assising breathing and physical health to reducing social isolation, and improving mental well-being,

The Manchester Amateur Choral Competiton provides a showcase for choirs of whatever ability and musical style to sing for each other and members of the public in a supportive and uplifing environment.

The Royal Northern College of Music and it's accoustically wondeful Concert Hall has been the home of the Choral Competiton since it's inception but the hire of the auditorium has become more more expensive over the years and so we are seeking funds to support keeping the Competition at a venue that does justice to all the wonderful choirs who take part!
