Man with a van Charity Support

Our aim is to purchase a transit van and start a handyman/man-with-a-van service whilst also having the capacity to help the charities.

Hi, my name is Garry Edmead, after suffering from a nervous breakdown 9 years ago, losing my house, my cars and all my possessions as a result of losing my job because of the illness I have finally reached a stage where I feel recovered enough to start providing for my family again. I have been trying to keep myself busy in my recovery and for the last 7 years I have been volunteering with local food banks, cooking in soup kitchens, odd jobbing in retirement homes and collecting aid for the homeless and Syrian refugees. I also care for my autistic son who has just turned 18 who struggles with day to day tasks.

Our aim is to purchase a transit van and start a handyman/man-with-a-van service whilst also having the capacity to help the charities close to my heart. My son would be a part of this as he enjoys physical work and also really enjoys helping others. A reliable friendly father and son team helping the community is something that appeals to us both and is much needed.

We would like to offer a service to the community where we provide top class service for an affordable price while offering local charities our free service to help them in a larger capacity, whether transporting aid to refugees, delivering clothes to charity shops, delivering food to local people or helping vulnarable people move home.

Many Thanks for reading our appeal and I hope you can be a part of this exciting venture.
