Luncheonette was created by Christian and Gareth, with collectively 18 years in the hospitality industry, we finally felt it was time to start our our journey and create our brand.
Christian started his love and passion for food at a early age from living and doing part time work on a small farm in Warrington, harvesting fruit and vegetables weekly in the orchard. Learning the importance of the seasons and preservation techniques. Also learning respect for livestock as lambs where raised on the farm.
His love for food would only really take the main stage when he moved to Manchester, and quickly rose from commis to Sous Chef in the space of a few years, with experience in fine dining, private dining and events, and with having working and trained with some of the best Chefs in the North West he felt it was time to start his own journey.
Gareth love for pastry started with his grandmother, from a early age he quickly picked up basic pastry skills and this was always his hobby as a child. Starting work in some of the best bars in the city centre, he has worked every sector in the hospitality industry. Eventually becoming head chef. With 10 years as a chef Gareth is trained in pastry, butchery and sauces. Gareth went on to manage some of Manchesters finest restaurants.
With working together for around 5 years, Christian and Gareth always talked endlessly about setting up our own business, ideas thrown around until one stuck, and that one was Luncheonette, high-end, all fresh food, served in front of you.
