Angels Across Africa is a UK registered non profit organisation set up to care for, educate, empower, support and serve orphans, under privileged children and families in need across Africa and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.

We are helping provide these under privileged children with a healthy and successful start to life by ensuring that mothers and families have access to life saving health and nutrition services and practices, and by providing a strong foundation for their formal education which prepares children for future success. We know that basic education is a right of all children.Our main aim is to invest in childhood every day. We are dedicated to ensuring every child has the best chance for success. Our pioneering programs give children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.

We work in communities across Africa, making sure children are healthy, nourished, protected and educated. Through our groundbreaking work in child survival, early education and protection, we provide children and their families with a strong foundation for the future.By changing the lives of children now, we change the course of their future and ours.

Our Work And the Children In Our Care

At the moment, we are working on a project in Malawi at Chisusu village, about 30km from the capital city Lilongwe.

Children are the most vulnerable in society affected by various challenges due to extreme poverty. At AAA, we believe that every child deserves a happy and healthy life, and we work hard to ensure that children receive the needed support, care and opportunity to reach their full potential.

The AAA Children’s Village Project is an initiative that aim’s at providing a decent home, caring family support, quality education, healthcare and a thriving environment for children in need. Through this initiative, we are building a children’s home, a school and added on facility to serve the needs of orphans and vulnerable children

Through the AAA Children’s Village Project We:

• Build schools, train teachers and provide educational supplies to ensure that children learn practical skills, which will benefit everyone;

• Provide a decent, healthy and loving home for every child;

• Drill boreholes to provide clean and safe water so children don’t get sick or die needlessly;

• Help the community build medical centers, latrines and train community health workers;

• Train each parent about the importance of hygiene and immunization to give children a healthy start in life and protect them from disease;

• Help local people gain access to micro-loans and small business skills to grow their business and become self-sufficient.

Long Way Home

In July, we set off on our very long journey by road from Leeds, UK to Lilongwe, Malawi, 7400m across 11 countries to raise funds to build a school, hostels, small clinic, play area and also supply clean water for the 44 orphans and under privileged children in our care at Chisusu village in Malawi. We estimate our journey to take us about a month, while we make visits to other children of the world in children's homes along our route, after all, even though we are 'Angels Across Africa',  we love all children of the world.

Our journey across Africa to our final destination Lilongwe will be called 'long drive home', after our founder who originates from Malawi. It will be documented from beginning to end , so all our supporters, sponsors and everyone across the world will be updated every 2-3 days through the Angels Across Africa YouTube channel . We are a team of 9 ordinary individuals with ordinary lives, including a doctor and film crew, volunteering to do something different for one common factor, children of the world, . We will be travelling on two 4x4 vehicles and a truck loaded with clothes, toys and other donated materials to take to our final destination in Malawi.

This project will be focusing on charities along our journey route, investigating the process of how aid from donors is distributed and what percentage of your donated money actually gets to do the required purpose. We also aim to recognised our unsung heroes also know as angels, working with children in charities. A lot of work is invested in looking after children and a lot of dedicated individuals give their all to deliver unconditional love and care to these underprivileged children. Although our journey across Africa will uncover a lot of things, we also aim to show you that there are other ways that aid can be delivered to those in need, and although we are taking the long way to do this, it's just one way of many. There will be a lot to learn, there will be tears, there will be laughter, we know it will not be easy but our determination and your support will keep us going. There will be regular updates on our YouTube channel and social media.

Thank you in advance for your support.
