We are raising funds for the SNP campaign in the Livingston Constituency to send our vibrant young candidate Hannah Bardell to Westminster.
About the project
My name is Hannah Bardell and I was born and brought up in Livingston. My family originally come from Bathgate and were part of West Lothian's Mining Community. I went to school in Broxburn and then to the University of Stirling. Since then I've worked in different sectors including national television and the oil industry, I've also seen a bit of the political world working for the US Consulate and managing Alex Salmond's constituency office. But I'm delighted to come home to Livingston, because it's where my roots are.
Why do I want to be your MP? The simple answer to that is that I believe the Referendum has changed politics in Scotland forever and made people realise that we, individually and together, can change things for the better. It is important we build on this reawakening. It matters that we all move forward together and make our country and the many communities that make up the Livingston Constituency, fairer for all.
I believe that the only we can have greater equality in the Livingston Constituency and in Scotland is by sending MP's to Westminster who will always speak up for Scotland. Only one party has the freedom to do that and that party is the SNP. Only the SNP will fight to rid Scotland of Trident; only the SNP will fight to have the bleak politics of austerity replaced by a politics of hope; only the SNP will reject the creeping privatisation that threatens our public services.
Once you make your donation and the crowdfunder campaign ends, the money will be deposited into the Livinston Constituency SNP bank account for us to invest in our LOCAL campaign. What's more, we also need YOU to get involved. We will be out campaigning every week and weekend from now until the General Election and you can join us to see where your generous donation has assisted in empowering our campaign.
Thank you for whatever you can give!
*If you are kind enough to donate more than £50 to my campaign, your name and address will be checked against the electoral register to ensure that you are eligible to donate. Your name, but not your address, will be made available by the council on request after the election.*
