Liverpool Hope is one of three University's in the city of Liverpool with a history stretching back over 168 years. It has made a name as one of the leading smaller University's in the country with a populus of approximatey 7500 students. The Students Union is accredited as a Charity meaning that it does not have the financial to provide beyond the basic needs that allow us to play and train. We wish to raise the funds to further improve this experience.
This project has been set up to raise funds for the Men's football team as there is a necessity to buy new sports kit and equipment to improve the quality of the Men's football team. The purchasing of a new kit will provide an identity for the men's team not only on the campus of the university, but also in the city of liverpool acting as a great way to advertise the university for prospective students. It will also give an identity in the community where local residents will recognise the participants as 'Hope' students. This recognition within the local community will lead to increased support and create an avenue that enables the University to branch out more into the community creating stronger links. Men's football at Hope is constantly developing and evolving, on campus it draws the greatest amount of trialists wanting to join the teams each year and we have now grown to a point where there will be the introduction of new teams due to the popular demand, this links back to the foundations of this pledge of being able to provide new sports kit and equipment to evolve the team to be able to perform the best it can. The fact that there are two kits at the moment that are several years old at the moment and are in desperate need of updating, your donation would go towards funding this, also money spent on new equipment will go on buying; bibs, cones, footballs for training and matches, and other equipment that will enable training and matches to be as fun and as effective as possible.
Reaching this project amount will be a real stepping stone in providing a greater level of experience for the participants at Hope university, it will give us a sense of identity, purpose and direction and hopefully lead to a greater success on and off the pitch.
If we over achieve our target then the extra funds will go towards subsidising a Coach for our team for training on a Monday evening which will further enhance our team improving our tactical knowledge and improving our skill base which will further help us to push on as a team and become more successful.
