A Green MP for Lichfield and Burntwood

A Politics project Lichfield, United Kingdom

We want to stand a Green Party candidate in Lichfield & Burntwood at the May General Election.

New stretch target

Thanks to all who have pledged so far - it means we can at least pay our candidate's deposit.

But there are still flyers and posters to pay for so every extra pound we get means we can reach even more voters here in Lichfield and Burntwood and get the Green message heard loud and clear!

Our Aim

We're raising money so that our newly formed local party can fight the general election on May 7th.

Our Project

The Lichfield and Burntwood Green Party came together just a few months ago.

We're a mixture of long-standing Green Party members and new recruits drawn to the party during the recent, amazing "Green Surge". Our shared ambition is to give the voters of our Staffordshire constituency real choice and a real voice at the general election in May by standing a Green Party candidate.

Fighting a General Election campaign is a costly business, not least the £500 deposit we need to pay just to have our candidate's name on the ballot paper, but we're not going to let that put us off making the voices of Green supporters heard on May 7th.

We believe that real change is not just on its way, it's already here and with your help we can get the message out to people that there is a viable alternative to the "business as usual" politics we've endured for too long.

We don't have much in the way of material rewards to offer in exchange for your pledges (although our badges are particularly splendid), but we solemnly promise to repay your generosity by doing everything we can to fight the general election in Lichfield and Burntwood for the Green Party.

Thank you for your support. It literally means the world.
