New stretch target
Organizations in Calais would benefit from any extra donations you can give them. The need is so high for medical equipment and running costs. Anything you can donate would make the world of difference!
I will be going to Calais on October 6th to deliver supplies to refugees and migrants. Any money to cover costs would be very appreciated.

I will be going to Calais on October 6th to deliver supplies to refugees and migrants. I will be taking a big van so if you are able to provide resources, that would be much appreciated.
The following items would be particularly welcome:
· Clothing – Please keep in mind it's nearly winter and we will need warm clothing and we are desperate for male clothing
Jackets - urgent (no wool coats)
Tracksuits
Hoodies
Jumpers, T-shirts
Joggers
Jeans
Hats, gloves, scarves
Socks
Underwear – especially women’s
· Shoes - very most urgent
· Shelter and living
Tents – urgently, big sized tents are best as people like to live together, and they can allow standing-up.
Thick plastic sheeting – mainly used for agriculture (they make shelters from this)
Tarps and groundsheets – again to build shelters, the bigger the better.
Sleeping bags, blankets and duvets – urgent
Mattresses, sleeping mats
Pots, pans, kettle (not electric as they don’t have this) – some people are making up packages with a couple of pans, plastic plates/cups, sponge and cleaning products
· Toiletries
Unisex hygiene kits containing toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shower gel, body lotion
Disposable razors (cheap ones and don’t include these in the wash bag)
Sanitary products – Pads only
· Food
All non-perishable food – TINNED kidney beans, white beans, chick-peas, peas and carrots, green beans (no tinned pasta)
Rice, flour, (little or no pasta, NO couscous, NO bulgur, NO oatmeal)
Oil, LOTS of oil
Tomatoes in all forms (sauce, paste), LOTS of it
Spices
Long Life milk
Sugar
Tea/coffee
Onions (we are always looking for onions, we could use a truckload every now and then)
If you are able to donate, please email me and I will work out a time to collect the items from you.
My email address is [email protected].
However, just as important is getting the stuff there, which requires van hire, petrol and a eurotunnel ticket. Any financial donations to support this would make the world of difference. And if we make more than we need to cover costs, then it will of course be donated to organizations working in Calais.
Thank you in advance x
