Knock Knock Comedy Tour for Shelter

120 gig stand up comedy UK tour for the homeless charity Shelter with no money and no transport

Hi. I am a stand-up comic. From March 25th 2016, I am going to do a 120 gig stand up comedy tour in aid of the homeless charity, Shelter from Lands End to Edinburgh. The additional challenge is that I'm not allowed to use any money or public transport so any food, shelter or lifts along the way will be donated, out of kindness or in exchange for jokes or me performing at their venues (or even homes).

Gigs are generally free entry with all donations (or profits in the case of ticketed events) collected at the end of shows going to Shelter. The tour will end up at the Edinburgh fringe where shows will again be free entry and all donations from the audience will go to Shelter.

Even though the challenge is that i won't use any money on the tour (from March to July), there are some set up costs for it  - for equipment such as microphones, a portable PA system that I can physically carry from town to town and even for a decent rucksack.

I will be fully transparent about costs and keep receipts and any equipment purchased will be sold off at the end and the money will go to Shelter. Anyone who kindly contributes to this project is welcome to see receipts and a full breakdown of costs on request. I have covered lots of set up costs myself so far so any help to fund this equipment would be be very much appreciated. And if you can't afford to make a pledge, maybe just a lift, or a bed for the night or even the occassional retweet will help to raise money and awareness through this tour for an incredibly good cause.
