Kinship Caring

To send an incredible family on a holiday to Disney whilst they are all well enough

Project aim

To send an incredible family on a holiday to Disney whilst they are all well enough

About the project

Thank you for taking the time to consider this request.

I must admit I am nervious about doing such a thing but the people I am wanting you to help really deserve our support.  I first met teachers Enza and Dave through their grandson Brad a couple of years ago and since then I have been in awe of their love, patience and generosity.  I hope you are too!

They married in their late teens and soon had 3 children.  Life had not been plain sailing but they were expecting to enjoy themselves once their kids left home.  Unfortunately when their eldest daughter had problems leading to her being unable to care for her children the couple immediately came to the rescue.  Bringing up two children who had various physical and psychological problems would be more than enough for most people but instead this couple decided to set up a local chairty to support families in similar situations.  They have campaigned tirelessly which has drained them both physically and financially for Kinship Carers Worcestershire.

6 Years ago their daughter had yet another child who she could not care for but  this time Vicki (Enza and Dave's other daughter) came to the rescue and adopted the baby.

This January Dave was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer which is devestating news for this lovely family.  Doctors do not think he will be around for long which means a brilliant father, grandfather, brother, teacher and friend will not be around to see all the important family events that mean so much to him.  His one wish is to take the 4 grandchildren to Disney in Florida.

If you feel you can spare any amount of money to provide a fabulous memory for this family please do.
