You may know us from the FREE three day party we arrange every year to bring our beautiful town together and celebrate the start of summer.
We definitely know you. You're the all singing, all dancing, all drinking and all eating rock stars that make our event amazing. We love you. And we need your help!
Our festival started 6 years ago when our small team of volunteers decided to create a self-funding, free event for the town to enjoy. The formula was simple: Food stalls pay to attend and their money goes directly on the bands and infrastructure of the 3 day festival. It was always designed to be a non-profit thing with every penny going back into event.
However, every year, the cost of putting on our festival goes up. To keep things legal and safe we need to pay for security staff, first aiders and stewards. Then there's all the fencing, bins, marquees, sound, lighting... and that's before we've even booked the bands. We get lots of help from some amazing volunteers and our official sponsors, Toad Hall Cottages, but the prices keep going up and this year's event will cost us close to £20,000 to put on. Not surprisingly, the well is almost dry.
If everyone who attended the festival donated just £5, our free celebration of all that's good would be secure for years to come!
