New stretch target
I'm hoping this award will become an annual event at Adam's old school and any extra money will fund the award for subsequent years. What a fantastic tribute to Adam's memory that he could help develop the musical aspirations of other young people through the recognition of talent, effort and innovation.
To establish a school based annual award in memory of Adam Dominic Morris that will inspire creativity and musical innovation.
About the project
My handsome, lively, talented son Adam died on the 22nd February 2015 from a particuarly aggressive and rare cancer. Adam's life revolved around music - listening, playing, composing, mixing, producing and perfoming. Adam had ambitions to be a record producer and had already set up a record label in University. Adam aimed to release his own music along with supporting the music of others. Adam's greatest regret at having a terminal illness was that he may never achieve his musical aspirations. Having eclectic tastes in music Adam appreciated talent, effort and innovation. It is this ethos that I would like to continue in Adam's name by setting up an annual music award at his old school in his memory; offering both a financial incentive to the pupil demonstrating these qualities and an equal amount to the school.
