New stretch target
If we raise more than our original target we will put the extra money to very good use. Children in both the upper and lower playgrounds need new play equipment such as hoops, swing ropes and balls, and if we raise a lot extra we will by a sunshade/playhouse to provide shelter from the Summer sun in this very exposed playground.
Our key stage 2 playground equipment is old and broken - it urgently needs replacing!
Jubilee Primary School near Brixton in South London is a community primary school rich in cultural diversity. It is an inclusive environment where we think that every child should have an equal chance in life. The children's school council put a choice of designs to a vote and the children chose the winning design, shown below. The new playground equipment will cost £18,900 to buy and install. The winning design with new, larger play area including safe-play surfaces and an improved fitness trail to use during playtimes and PE lessons. For the past 3 years the parents, teachers and children have been fundraising towards this goal doing all sorts of events including bake sales, fairs, discos and sponsored challenges. The school was able to contribute £5,000 and so far together we have raised just over £17,000. Now we desperately need help to get us over the finish line so that we can buy and install the equipment this Easter break. One of our many bake sales. Improving the playground for our key stage 2 students will help us to enrich their lives, give them a much-needed physical outlet, opportunities for fun and cooperation, and instil a sense of worth and pride in their school. We would be very grateful for any support you are able to give us!
