Unfortunately we haven't met one of the NAC's requirements for the official funding of our tour of Variations of Pointe II, but as most theatres of our tour have already sold a vast number of tickets two months in advance, we cannot disappoint the audience and do need your help financially to proceed with the tour.
JSLN Dance Company's UK tours include dance performances in big theatres as well as small town halls, from the South of England all the way up to St. Andrew's. The program consists of three parts, ranging from classical ballet repertoire, such as the Pas d'Ombre of La Sylphide to Niewelt's newest neoclassical creation Consequential Gaps with a new comdey ballet, based on the Austin Powers movie characters in between.
Apart from theatres nationwide, JSLN Dance Company will also perform for the full month of August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017, promising success especially with their combination of comedy and dance.
Workshops with the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow, Sturminster Newton's Stursteppers, Lyme Regis' Marine Theatre and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra are scheduled as well.
All in all this tour combines highclass ballet with educational outreach and is presented in any setting where there is an audience, be it urban or rural.
The amount of money we are in need for is a huge sum, but necessary to pay for the dancers' hard work and daily bread and the inns and pubs during the journey. We save money wherever possible to keep the costs low but one simply cannot save on food and a bed to sleep in, especially given the physical challenge, the dancers go through everyday.
