This summer I will be travelling out to Tanzania in a group of 16 from the Royal Latin school to help build the Mtumbi secondary school, climb Mt Longido, spend time with the locals, experience an African safari and much more. This experience will help our group to develop a range of personal skills including a better understanding of other cultures, leadership and bugeting.
To raise the funds needed for this expedition I have done a whole range of different fundraising schemes including getting a job, babysitting, running stalls at school fayres, applying to grants and have collected loose change in smartie tubes from family and friends.
I have also arranged a few upcoming events including a restaurant night on the 3rd April at the local pub and a sponsored 420ft abseil on the 22nd April dwn the Northampton lift tower.
