Jemma in Borneo

My aim is to help local communities on a small Asian island by helping local farmers, building schools and preserving wildlife.

Project aim

My aim is to help local communities on a small Asian island by helping local farmers, building schools and preserving wildlife.

About the project

This is far from a lounge on the beach holiday, I am trying to raise such a large amount of money in order to work hard within many different areas of Borneo. The work I will be doing is to improve the standards of living for rural communities that are suffering from high levels of poverty and where oppurtunities for young people like myself are limmited or non-existant. I will also play a large role in enhancing and protecting some of the most beautiful wild places and get very up close with all the wildlife that depends on them for survival.    £4,170 is what is needed in order to take me to Borneo and make a difference to the lives of many people. The majority of money I raise goes straight to the project and directly to that of the charity. Each penny is greatly appreciated and well-spent.
