I am asking you to help me with the setup costs for a new artisan roastery based in Somerset UK.
According to Mintel Research and an article posted on 'www.thecaterer.com' "over the next five years coffee shop sales are forecast to reach £4.3b"
The article also stared "two thirds (65%) of all Brits visited a coffee shop in the three months August to October 2016'
I believe the next area of coffee Brits will be interested in is Cold brew coffee (where coffee is brewed with cold water for 20+ hours) and gourmet coffees such as the varietes and blends, both of wich I will be providing.
A bit about me...
My name is Jack, I have experience working in a internationally respected coffee shop so I know what good coffee tastes like and how to make it!
I also have experience working in a large scale coffee roasting company however their practices roasting coffee were qestionable... This led to me wanting to show them how it's done, but correctly!
I want to be able to make bizzare or unheard of coffee available to you for example Kopi Luwak:
"The luak, that's a small catlike animal, gorges after dark on the most ripe, the best of our crop. It digests the fruit and expels the beans, which our farm people collect, wash, and roast, a real delicacy. Something about the natural fermentation that occurs in the luak's stomach seems to make the difference. For Javanese, this is the best of all coffees"
What I would like from you...
I need from you a total of £8000 to cover the costs of the following:
- A Coffee Roaster,
- Green Coffee Beans,
- A location to rent to work in and costs including electricity/gas/rates etc,
- An online shop
In return I will produce the highest quality freshly roasted artisan coffee from throughout the world; coffee rarely seen in the UK.
I plan on roasting in small 1-5kg batches to ensure quality and freshness every time.
I plan on roasting specialty coffee including:
Hawaii Kona, (https://goo.gl/AxViGR)
Jamacia Blue Mountain, (https://goo.gl/9Ao6FA)
Kopi Luwak, (https://goo.gl/vfN6ta)
Guadeloupe Bonifieur, (https://goo.gl/FIQ1Qh)
Mount Everest, (https://goo.gl/3kZKPA)
I also plan to roast some single origin such as Brazilian, Colombian and Ugandan coffees and some special blends
developed by me, focusing on cold brew blends, the latest fashion in coffee.
If the above plan works I would like to open a specialty coffee shop serving my own freshly roasted coffee from all over the world in a range of specialty brewing techniques such as Chemex, Moka Pot, Aero Press and Cold Brew.
If the above interests you at all, please help fund this project and make it happen!
