Please help Jackie realise her dying wish
Jackie Storrar has always lived life to the full.
She has enjoyed a successful 30 year music career, travelling the world singing alongside her husband and working as a radio DJ
Six years ago, Jackie battled cancer. But in 2013, she was told the disease had returned – and it couldn’t be cured.
Jackie, 49, from Kirkcaldy, is hoping treatment will give her enough time to continue following her dreams.
That includes finding backing to record a final album with husband Steve Thiebault, 55, as a legacy to their love.
Jackie needs backing to record a new album as Steve has given up work to be her carer.
She said: “If anything should happen to me, I would like to feel I have left something special that Steve and I had done together. It would be my legacy.
“It’s been a huge struggle against the odds to reach this point. And being inducted into the British Country Music Hall of Fame has given me an incredible boost.
“I would just love to get back into the studio for one last time and create an album which sums up the music I love the most.”
“I’d like to use it to raise funds for Maggie’s Centres. Our local Fife centre has been such an enormous place of support for myself and my husband – we’d love to give something back.”
Jackie needs £10,000 to make her dream come true and obviously time is very much of the essence so that Jackie can record the album while she still has time.
Every donation would help her closer to achieving her dream no matter how big or small. Please play a part in it by donating to Jackies Dream.
