Ivinghoe Together: a residents group seeking funding to fight a planning appeal in a speculative development case in Aylesbury Vale

Project aim

Ivinghoe Together, a residents group seeking funding to fight a planning appeal in a speculative development case in Aylesbury Vale

About the project

Gladman, a speculative developer, has lodged an application with AVDC for outline planning for 70 homes... on a field sited outside the village boundary.

Ivinghoe, a small village of 242 houses, would be overwhelmed by this 29% increase in homes, people and cars... the infrastructure would not be able to sustain this massive increase...

This unsustainable development would also change the village forever, causing significant harm... ruining the views from the Lawn, the Conservation Area and many listed buildings. The views towards Ivinghoe Beacon, the end of the Chiltern ridgeway, would also be irreparably harmed.

As an action group we are not against development, but we believe there are better places for it to be situated within our Parish and fully support the ongoing development of our Neighbourhood Plan.

We need your funding...

To continue to fight this speculative developer at an inquiry starting on the 20th October 2015. We have appointed a planning consultant to enable us to present our case who will represent us as a village. We need help covering his costs.

Whilst we have set a target for fundraising for now, we're sure that this will not be the end of our campaign. Ivinghoe, a small village of 242 houses, suffers from the beauty of its location and continues to be an ongoing target for developers.
