A safe garden area for Iris and Ivy

A garden area for ALL the children to play in safely, but especially our 2 children with cystic fibrosis & the younger children in church.

Project aim

To create a garden area that is safe for ALL of our children to play in.  Especially our 2 children with cystic fibrosis, and the youngest children in our church.

About the project

We have a garden area that we would like to make more suitable for the children using our church to play in.  I have 2 young children with cystic fibrosis that attend the church, Iris and Ivy.  They cannot play in the area at the moment as the ground covering is unsuitable.  It stays damp for a long time when its wet, and is dusty when dry. Both of which pose health risks for children with cf.  We would love for them to be able to use the space safely.

It's also not ideal for the younger babies in our church who will be crawling around soon.  We are hoping to start a toddler group and this area would be used for that too.

The ideal covering would be fake grass.  Easy to maintain, suitable for babies and toddlers to crawl about and play on, and soft enough to be safe.

We are trying to keep costs down by doing the work ourselves, and we have been able to raise £500, and have money for fencing.  But we do need an extra £400 to be able to complete this project.

If the project comes in under budget for any reason, the remaining money would be kept aside from any church funds and used solely for the garden and maintenance of it.

Please can you help us?  Iris and Ivy would love it if you could.
