I have one year left in the UK and I want to get the degree to go back to Iraq and teach war-affected students who cannot leave the country
About the project
Children and young adults are the future of any nation and this future could be dark or bright. I was repeating this sentence to myself when I decided to come to the UK to hone my skills in teaching and be well-equipped with the best weapon to fight back ISIS and poverty; education. I used to be a lecturer in Baghdad University, but I have been on a study leave to finish my PhD in the UK. This coming year will be my final year and during the years of study, I have been working in three different jobs (most times) to be able to afford the expenses of my full-time study. In order to study aborad, I had to put my family's house on gaurantee /custody to the Iraqi Government to ensure them that I will be back on time. I was not allowed to study part-time or through distance-learning becasue of the Iraqi higher Education laws, so I had to live in the Uk while studying.
All this did not hinder my determination to finish and go back to help the kids in my country and redirect their future with the hope of preventing them from being criminals. Unfortunately, I ran out of money for my final year and cannot ask my family for loan beacsue they can barely provide for themselves. I cannot take loans from anywhere because I am an international student. Please help me fulfil my dream.
