Update - Everyone who donates will go on our Wall of Heroes (we don't know what it will look like yet but it will be Awesome!!). You will be on our wall for 15 years! We realised how vital the community is to the project and we want you to always be a part of it.
Our vision is to run this centre, so that children and young people have a safe space to attend activities and hang out. There are currently a number of charities here: Winchester Young Carers, Winnall Rock School, and Key Changes Music Therapy. All of these charities do an amazing job for the communities they work with and without a home, they wouldn’t be able to run.
We have set up a new organisation called Integr8 Community CIC. This is our new completely non-for-profit Community Interest company. This company can apply for funding and all profits made must go back into the community. This CIC will run the building for all of the organisations based here.
In addition, our dance school, Integr8 Dance will be able to run dance classes from the building bringing in revenue to support the building and giving Integr8 dance a much needed home. However if anyone has been here recently, you will know that a lot of repairs and renovations need to be done before we can do that.
We need all of your help. This is a real chance to make an amazing community venue in Winchester for all ages where children, young people and adults can come and safely experience different activities including dance, music and drama. We have never done anything like this before.
This funding will help us set up and run the centre for the first 12 months. It will allow us to make some much needed emergency repairs to parts of the building. (We will be applying for funding to do the larger repairs but in the meantime there are many things that we just need to do as soon as possible).
From the start of this dream, we have had so many people tell us that we couldn’t do it. We get the keys on the 31st March and we want to prove that this dream can become a reality.
