I'm Martin Dixon, a photographer and also a music teacher. Throughout a whole school year I've photographed everything that take place at the Chelsea Community Hospital School, from dance projects to governors meetings, from horse riding to classroom teaching.Chelsea Community Hospital School provides education for children and young people while they are in hospital. The school works at 4 hospitals in London, England: Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Royal Brompton Hospital St Mary's Hospital Collingham Child and Family Centre Together with the school I am now publishing a photo book - "Hospital School - A Year in The Life". I really want to make the book as affordable as possible - so the plan is to to print 100 copies of the book (over 150 pages) so we can then keep the price down to an affordable £20 a copy. So please sign up for your copy today - and when we reach our target in Febuary 2012 I will post you the book. If you are able to contribute more, we also have a range of exciting rewards. If we exceed our target we will print a further run of books, the proceeds of which will go to the school charity FCCHS (Friends of Chelsea Community Hospital School). (The funds raised by the charity FCCHS provide extra - curricular weekend, evening and holiday activities for children and young people on all our hospital sites, as these activities are not funded centrally by the borough.) I do hope you are able to support our book project and to enjoy this photographic document of the work of Chelsea Community Hospital School.
