Home-Start Harlow would like to hold a Christmas Party for all the children of the families we work with, about 60 children. This will give all the children a wonderful Christmas Party, with party games, food, father Christmas and a small gift for each child to take home.
Home-Start Harlow help families in three different ways:
The main focus of our work is to offer informal, friendly and confidential support to families in thier own homes through carefully selected and trained volunteers, who are usually parents themselves.
We also hold family groups where parents with their children can come to the centre in Bush Fair and meet other families while the children play, with trained volunteers on hand to provide advice and support.
Our Elpitha group is a creche for mums who are suffering from post-natal depression. Our trained volunteers look after teh children while the mum's meet with social workers trained in supportiung them through compassionate cognitive behavourial therapy.
Harlow is a town where many families can struggle to support themselves and to provide the essentials.
The money raised will go towards the hire of a hall, some nibbles and soft drinks and a gift for each child.
