I am a self-managed folk/blues singer-songwriter and guitarist with an established reputation and over ten years experience of live performing. Hermit Hill is the title of an album I would like to produce as the follow up to my 2010 debut Home and Dry. As an independent artist I fund all my recording projects and due to the popularity of my debut album there is demand for a new record as well as an artistic urge to make it.
As an independant artist of over ten years I am reliant on my fans to support me by attending gigs and purchasing my music. This gives me an opportunity to connect with the people who enjoy and support my music and this Crowdfunder project is a great way for my fans to do just that by enabling me to make a new album supported uniquely by them with exclusive rewards. The album will feature 10 new songs and include my popular single Bicycle Man, available for the first time on CD. The album will also feature exclusive artwork by the brilliant Becky Adams, a book and textile artist based in Wales. As rewards I am offering hand signed copies of the album to those who pledge £10 to the project. In a sense the pledge would basically act as a pre-order for the new album but with a personal touch to say thank you to those who have supported the project.
I am also offering the chance to pledge not only for the album but also limited edition Bicycle Man prints and my previous album, Dry.
Lastly I am giving ten people an opportunity to pledge for a personal live performance in their own homes or an agreed venue local to them. The most cost effective way to this would be for a few people to pay so much each to the host so that it doesnt get too expensive for one pledger, unless they like my music so much and can afford it.
So that about wraps things up. Remember your pledge will only take effect of I achieve 100% of my £2500 target to fund the project so tell all of your friends and help me make Hermit Hill a reality.
