£125,000 of extra funding available to heritage projects

When we give our time, money and attention to historic buildings, cultures and traditions we bolster local pride.

But we also examine our roots and bring people’s stories to light, so that we’re all better equipped to understand each other.

Crowdfunding for heritage is about enriching lives and making communities stronger.

Through this campaign, we want to help you get people involved with the heritage projects that mean a lot to you and those around you.

We’re talking about the places, buildings, cultures, traditions and natural heritage that are beloved.

We’re looking to support heritage projects in Scotland, North West England and South West England that are aiming to raise funds to make great ideas happen.

So if there’s something you’d like to see brought to life, shared or celebrated in one of those regions, now’s the time to rally your neighbours and people in your community.

We’re hoping to see increased community involvement in local heritage, leading to greater volunteer commitment as well as more money raised, through the use of a wider range of fundraising tools.

Heritage Lottery Fund

Since 1994, Heritage Lottery Fund has invested over £7billion raised by National Lottery players in all sorts of UK heritage projects. We rescue historic buildings from decay, breathe new life into neglected parks and landscapes, and encourage communities to record and celebrate their stories.
