Your chance to help the 1 in 4 people who suffer from a Mental Health Condition It would be wonderful to raise £2,500 to help us offer the chance to train and help 250 individuals and family s cope with more understanding when living with a mental health affliction. No one gets paid in our Organisation. Every penny goes into providing free advice; educational training material and traveling expenses incurred looking after the people we are helping. The money raised will also go towards hosting a free open day where our small team can offer a days worth of free mental health training to the local community. So for every £1 we raise, will allows us to provide support and educational materials to a person or family living with a mental health condition - as you can see, every penny counts to help change someone s life so please donate anything you can afford. So where is your money being spent? Imagine living your everyday life on a roller coaster ride, where family and friends find it hard to relate or understand the torment you are going through. No one understands you or gives any attention to anything you tell them about how you feel people think you re a little bit mad . You go to the doctor and carry out a series of tests, get diagnosed and start on the (not so very) merry-go-round of anti-depressants and mood stabilisers. You react to the medication very badly by gaining and then losing weight, depending on which medication you are taking at the time. Your appearance starts to change, losing what little hair you have and your sleep patterns go from extended bouts of insomnia to sleeping 18 hours per day, in short, your life is turning into a mess. It was at this point, you reach rock-bottom. Possibly suicidal, but more often than not it is far worse than that, you just do not care if you live or die. Simply put, you don t feel anything anymore and all the while this is happening, your family spreads further away and bonds of friendship disappear. All this happened because of one issues, you were (finally) diagnosed with a Mental Illness. It does not matter if you only donate a small amount - we all appreciate your support! Our team is all voluntary, they relate to others and share a lot of empathy as they have experienced the conditions themselves and have first hand experience of the issues facing any individual with mental health condition, we have already had great success with so many different people. But we need help to continue our efforts. Please feel free to Email us if you are interested in making contact with people who care about your mental health wellbeing office@chatmentalhealth.org.uk Thanks for listening and for helping us to make a difference to someone s life.
