I have been given the fantastic opportunity to join a group of 30 people on an expedition in the village of  Alexandra, in Johannesburg, South Africa on the 13 June 2017.  Not only will we get to see some of the wonders of nature, we get to meet and interact with the people living there, learning about their culture and way of life.  One of the highlights of our visit will include meeting the children  at the local school (Realogile High School) and orphanage.  Life for these children has been an emotional struggle, where they have lost most of their loved ones to AIDS/HIV, or other means, been the victims of abuse,  and constantly struggle to meet their basic needs in food and clothing.  Many of these children walk miles everyday to attend school.  Older siblings responsibile for their younger ones drop them off at the local orphanage collecting them when the school day is over and their ready to make their journey home.  Most of us cannot imagine what these children endure.  I'd like to do, what's possible to provide some relief and to show them we care, but I need your help.    The goal is to raise £500, to spend on clothes, food and toys etc, any contributions are greatly appreciated and anything in excess will also go towards relief.
