We are a group of students fundraising to make a pilot for a new dating show for our third year project, heres our pitch.....
There are so many dating shows that focus on negative, joking aspects of dating, but are there any that really focus on what women look for in a partner in the long term?
Well now there is! Introducing the ‘Love Shack’, the show where 3 guys are invited in to try and impress the woman of their dreams by proving what a perfect boyfriend they’d be through a series of tasks devised to weed out only the worthiest suitors. Through 3 specially created tasks, all based around a relationship quality we look for in a partner three men have to compete against each other to win the heart (and date) of our Love Shack Lady.
We’re all obsessed with finding the right person, and the amount of people subscribed to dating shows proves this. But do we really look at potential partners and think about qualities that we can live with for a long time? The concept of this show is to provide a more substantial basis for partnering with someone, whilst still keeping the show fun & flirty.
The style of the show is friendly, entertaining and slightly tongue in cheek. The audience will be able to develop a relationship with our female contestant through introductory VTs, meeting with her family and also through chats with the presenter along the way, appealing to their love of a character, particularly an underdog who is looking for love.
We are looking for funding to help make our set, fund our location shoot and contribute towards the task costs. Although we have set our target at £200, we need to raise £400 altogether.
