We are rowing nonstop around the entire British mainland in an effort to raise £20,000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young. http://www.c-r-y.org.uk. CRY is a young charity that raises awareness of conditions that lead to sudden cardiac death in young people. It's going to take ~40 days, with the four crew rowing continuously in two hour shifts punctuated by sleeping and eating. We'll take all food with us and desalinate sea water to drink as we row over 2000 nautical miles through day and night. We start at Tower Bridge in London on June 1st next year. This is an extreme challenge: more people have walked on the moon than have rowed around Great Britain. We've been generously donated a boat but we desperately need ocean rowing oars. Please help! We want you to feel part of our challenge too. You will be given a section of the boat upon which you can place a design or text, write a message, place a logo, write your name, anything (as long as it's not rude!). The area allocated will be in proportion to your contribution: £5 will give you an area of 4cm x 2cm, as an example. Email us your design and we'll reproduce it on the boat just before the race. Find out more about us here: http://www.h2row.com This is a massive challenge for us. We're determined to make it happen and raise as much money as we can for CRY.
