We need your help to raise enough funds to campaign in the Grantham and Stamford, and South Holland and the Deepings, constituencies in the General Election in May 2015.
About the project
South Lincolnshire Green Party has grown rapidly in recent months, and now has a core of hard-working and enthusiastic members. However, unlike our political opponents, we don't receive donations from corporations and wealthy vested interests. We're solely dependent on funding from our own members and supporters.
Will you help us?
We have candidates ready to stand, Aidan Campbell (above, Grantham and Stamford) and Dan Wilshire (below, South Holland and the Deepings), but we need to raise £1000 just to pay for their electoral deposits. On top of this, we need another £1500 to pay for leaflets to all 100,000+ households in the area, without which many voters won't even know we're here. We've therefore set a target to raise a minimum of £1000, but to try for an additional £1500 so that we can mount a meaningful campaign across South Lincolnshire.
We know that these are difficult economic times for many, and we'll be grateful for whatever help you feel you can offer. We're still in the process of setting up our own bank account, so we've been given permission to use the Green Party East Midlands Region bank account as a temporary measure. Don't worry, your donations will be ring-fenced for the benefit of our campaign. Please note that we're obliged by law to declare to the Electoral Commission all donations above £500, which can only be accepted from people on the electoral register.
This looks like being the first General Election where the Green Party has a real chance of making a breakthrough. Please help us to put the Green Party in South Lincolnshire on the map. Thank you for your support.
