PLEASE SEE UPDATE: INSURANCE COMPANY ORGINALLY AGREED TO PAY £2,000, THEY HAVE NOW CUT THAT TO £500. WE NOW NEED £2,500!
May is my mum and step dad's beautiful chocolate Labrador who provides our family with so much happiness and joy, and really is the light in their eyes.
Recently May's health began to deteriate fairly rapidly at only the age of 6, and needs a life-saving operation that will give her a brand new lease of life and give her the years she deserves with her family.
May was diagonsed with elbow dysplasia and osteoporosis and has led to torn ligaments and joint problems in her back leg. If May does not have this operation to save her leg, there is no other alternative than to put her down, which is something that we can not even bare to think about.
My mum and step dad have May insured (paying the premium price every month for maximum 'cover') and yet the insurance company will not even cover the cheapest operation possible.
We've managed to get together most of the money but are short by £1,000, it's just this money that is stopping us from a life with or without our best friend and family member.
Please give what you can, it will mean the world to my family, and to May!
