Project aim

Having raised almost enough to fund Jamie's travels it has become apparent that Travel Insurance is our next obstacle.

About the project

One of our closest friends brother has recently recieved the news that he has a cancerous brain tumour which at this point in time is incurable. Jamie is only 24 and is an outgoing, atheltic & positive individual who recently competed for Great Britain in the commonwealth games. We initially set out to help him and his brother travel to Australia and to send him to Japan to train at the KodoKan.

Having now raised the best part of £10,000 through two previous crowdfunders Jamie is now in a position to begin living out some of his dreams. It has now however become apparent that Travel Insurance for Jamie does not come cheap totalling almost £5,000. Our next aim is therefore to smash another target to allow Jamie to finally embark on his journey around the world - so please give generously.

Furthermore we will be continuing to raise money which will be put towards anything across the world which may help find a cure for Jamie. We no longer have a set a goal and simply want to raise as much money as we possibly can and hopefully help him #BeatCancer.

Read Jamie's blog about his experience so far and see for yourself what he is going through: http://www.thelastthingiexpected.com/

We will be carrying out a series of fund raising events over the course of this year to try and raise the money to make all his wishes come true. Please dig deep and help make this a reality. It would be greatly appreciated by us all.

Thank you,

Alex Chesterton-Matt, George Crowther, Josh Tarrant, James Quirke & Luke Macdonald.
