Hi my name is Nathan Cook, I am 24 years old and have been playing from the age of 15, starting at Boston Golf Club in Lincolnshire where i had lessons with Nick Hiom who is the Head Professional. I have been hooked ever since I took up the game and still love playing with a passion. I reduced my handicap to 5 in two years playing at Boston from 28. I then studied golf science at the University of Lincoln from the age of 19-22. The next stage of my career was to move to Southampton where I began working at Dibden Golf Centre and started my PGA golf teaching degree. I have been a professional golfer for 2 years now which I love. I have recently completed the 2nd year of my training and will be starting my final year later on in the year.
I have realised that in the last few years that I would love to play full time with the dream of playing full time on a golf tour. I currently work in the clubs pro shop and give lessons when not in the shop. Practice is the key to keeping up a high level of playing, which my hours allow me to do, everyday I have the chance to practice and have access to all weather facilities.

Why you should support me ?
This project is not just to benefit myself, it can also help you too. If you are a business or company, one of the pledge options gives you the chance to sponsor my tournament clothing and golf bag. All of the pledges also receive acknowledgements on various social media sites. I am looking at £5,000 in total. This is to cover all tournament entry fees that I have calculated to be just under £3,000 for the 2015 season. I have travel fees to every tournament and then equipment such as balls and gloves that need to be stocked up at all times.
The aim ?
The first two years of being a professional I have concentrated on the Hampshire circuit mainly and played a handful of South region events. This year will be mostly south Region, which means playing at a higher level and playing with better players. I am entering all of the order of merit events which can lead to European Challenge Tour starts and European Tour starts.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and please spread the word.
