Project aim

To help a new start up business

About the project

Midland Motaparts ltd is a small family buiness, based in south Birmingham, that started trading in November 2014. The owner of the business has worked in this field for 35 years, and has a vast amount of knowledge.

Our aim is to establish a motor factor, suppling car parts & accessories to the retail public, offering excellent, freindly service. Part of this project is to create, a female freindly service, as we know that women can feel uneasy walking into a male orientated enviorment.

We are trying to help re-generate the area, that has suffered since the collapse of the Rover group, that was local to our location. This has included employing an apprentice, that was claiming benifits, for the last 2 years

One of the services we offer is to network with local garages, to negotiate best prices for repairs , servicing, Mot's etc. So in a nutshell the customer buys thier parts from ourselves, and we negoitate with local garages, repair centres, for the best labour rate for fitting.

The next level that we need, is to expand our stock holding. To achieve this we need to establish relations with direct suppliers, not middle men. This will allow us to buy at better prices, thus enabeling us to pass that discount on to our customers.

Another part of our plan is to offer parts, and accessories for motorcycles and cycles

We are based in a residential area, and have had some very good feedback from local customers, that always mention that they are so glad we are here to help.

Part of our service includes, the free fitting of wiper blades, bulbs and other simple minor items, along with some very good advise.

So now we are getting established we need to move on to the next level.
