My name is Jin, and I am currently in my last year of an undergraduate degree in School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, studying History of Art.
I was one of the seven students who was chosen to study both western and non-western history of art at both SOAS and UCL under the intercollegiate degree program. The program accepts a handful of students every year, which allows students to study at both universities in equal weight and develop a balanced perspective on the global arts scene.
So the current situation is...
Since I am an international student, my family back in Korea and myself have been funding my studies throughout the whole time, however, within the last year there has been a series of financial problems within my family and my father recently fell ill so I cannot expect any help from home at the moment.
The school has been considerate with my situation so I could pay tuition in installments, however, I need your help NOW to pay the last bit and continue my studies.
By raising £5,000 I can:
(1) pay my last installment of tuition and accommodation
(2) fund my research trips and trip back home
Your help means a lot to me
From the moment I quit my job and came to the UK to start studying history of art, there have been lots of challenges in every way. However, I never gave up and now I am only a few months away from achieving one of the biggest dreams I have had for a long time.
Currently, I am raising funds in two crowdfunding websites so you might come across my profile on the other one!
If you have any question or would like to discuss other forms of help, feel free to ask.
