Project aim
Baby Jayden wants to say thanks to the Ronald McDonald House charity for giving his parents somewhere to stay when he has been in hospital!
About the project
At just 10 days old Jayden became seriously ill. He had an anal malformation which caused him to have an extended stonach and his bowel perforated. The family were rushed to Bristol chidren's hospital where he underwent life saving surgery. Jayden now has a colostomy bag and will have to endure further operations and treatments in the future.
When in Bristol, the family discovered the Ronald McDonald House Charity and the amazing work they were doing for families with sick children. The Ronald McDonald House Charity in Bristol provides somewhere for parents to stay when their child is sick in hospital. It provides them with support and a sense of normality, at a time when the little things really mean the most. There is no cost to stay for the parents, even though the charity pay £23 per night per room.
The family were able to stay at the house on Jayden's second visit to Bristol. Jayden is to return for an operation at the end of June 2015, just before his first birthday and the family want to show the charity how much they appreciate what they offer parents by raising £500 before Jayden's next life changing surgery!
