Help get James to the World Championships

Help get James to the World Championships

I am raising funds to help me achieve my dream of competing for my country at the World Duathlon Championships this summer in Canada.

We did it!

On 8th Jun 2017 we successfully raised £1,050 with 16 supporters in 35 days

My name is James Oldfield, I am an amature athlete competing in running and Duathlon events. I set out to achieve a dream I believe every athlete should have - which is to represent your country. My dream has been achieved, I have been selected to represent team GB at age group level at the Duathlon Sprint Distance World Championships which are held in August 2017 in Canada.

For me this is a huge personal challenge and would be a big step up in competition level. However it is one I would like to take on, for a number of reasons but mainly to inspire others within the sport, gain vaulable experience and to have the chance to represent my country.

It was only 4 years ago I was battling cancer and now I have this fantastic opportunity.

Along with this huge opportunity, comes huge finanical outlay. I am only part of a local running club Sedgefield Harriers and Atom Health & fitness gym and have a very understanding family that allow me to train. I am looking for kit sponsors as well as trying to raise sponsorship for other expenses such as travel and accommodation.

I am therefore asking for your support to help make my dream happen. So if you would like to support me and are interested in sponsoring me on a personal basis or via a business, please take a look at my page or contact me for more information.

All donations will be very much appreciated and I am happy to promote any sponsors via social media.
