We are raising funds for the SNP campaign in Midlothian to help elect Owen Thompson to westmister as a strong, local voice. The more SNP MP's we have in Westminster the stronger our voice to ensure we have more powers in Scotland and a stronger voice for Midlothian!
About the project
The general election is almost upon us and I am honoured to have been selected as the SNP candidate in the upcoming election in May. There will be alot of hard work in the weeks and months ahead but I will be making the case to residents in Midlothian that an SNP MP gives the strongest voice for Scotland, and for Midlothian.
We need strong voices in Westminster to make sure the case against continuing austerity is firmly challenged. We need to challenge the wasted billions scheduled to be spent on weapons of mass destruction, and we need to make the case to halt welfare reforms that have already affected Midlothian residents and touched the ordinary lives of the most vulnerable in society and hard working families - our friends, family, colleagues and our community.
Midlothian is my home and my community too and I will strive to ensure that it is better represented in the interests of constituents.
The money raised as part of this campaign is crucial to ensure we have the best possible chance of acheiving change in Midlothian - for leafleting, canvassing and publicity materials. However we know that not everyone is in a position to contribute so we would ask that you get involved in whichever you can. We will be out campaigning every week and weekend, canvassing, leafletting, holding street stalls and phoning constituents. If you would like to help, or see how your donation has assisted in our campaign, please do get in touch.
*If you are kind enough to donate more than £50 to my campaign, your name and address will be checked against the electoral register to ensure that you are eligible to donate. Your name, but not your address, will be made available by the council on request after the elections*
Promoted by Owen Thompson, 67 Mayburn Avenue, Loanhead.
