New stretch target
£2500 is the very minimum I need to fight an effective campaign. If you can help me match (or exceed) the Stretch Target of £4000, then I can;
- Personalise mailings to key postal voters
- Produce a wider range of literature to show local voters how UKIP policies tie in to their concerns here in the Didcot and Wantage areas
- Stand ready to place adverts in the local press to rebutt attacks from the mainstream parties
- Assist my fellow candidates in the District Council elections which are also on May 7th
What will you be funding?
I am standing as the UKIP candidate for election to Parliament in the General Election of May 7th 2015. This is going to be the most exciting election in decades. The by-elections of 2014 showed that there is no such thing as a safe seat, be it Conservative or Labour. UKIP has demonstrated that we are capable of winning against the mainstream parties and I will be fighting for UKIP in the Wantage constituency. UKIP is not financed by big buinesses or the unions - I need your help. Your generous support will help pay for;
- The £500 deposit that all candidates must raise
- An "Election Address" sent to every household in the constituency costing around £1,000
- Adverts in the local newspapers at around £250 each
- Campaign leaflets - roughly £65 for 5,000.
- Poster boards at between £5 and £20 each.
Why am I standing for Parliament?
I, like a great many people, believe it is time for a change in British politics.
Only UKIP has the common-sense policies aimed at protecting the interests of communities here in Oxfordshire. Only UKIP speaks out about the real reasons affecting the quality of life across the constituency. Here in the Tory heartlands we have our own share of acute poverty caused by ever escalating food and fuel bills. We have ever longer waiting lists for schools and GPs. We have the continuing steam-rollering of entire communities with massive new housing estates on green field land.
The rights of local people must come first and it's about time that people in the Wantage Constituency had an MP committed to speaking up for them.
I believe that our country has a bright and positive future and that the people best suited to deciding that future are the British people and their representatives in the British Parliament. We should be free to decide our own laws, to choose our own place in the world, and to work for free trade with dynamic and growing countries everywhere. The world is full of opportunities – let’s go find them! We should not be constrained by the narrow interests of ever closer political union with Europe.
Will your donation make a difference?
Absolutely! If my target is not reached then you will not pay a penny - if it is then I will be able to mount an effective campaign and show voters that UKIP stands ready to bring about the change that so many people want.
