About Ian Macdonald
Ian has been an active campaigner in local politics for a number of years and has contested the last two elections as a council candidate in Barton and Sandhills, coming second in both. In the past, he has notably backed campaigns to save Temple Cowley Pools from closure, protect green spaces from overdevelopment and has called for greater accountability in local government.
Why we need your help
The support for UKIP in East Oxford has been growing over the years. We contested 6 seats at the last election and of those seats; we came second in 4 of them.
We have spoken to residents on doorsteps across the city, and the response we have received has been positive. People have told us that they are tired of listening to more of the same from the old parties who are only interested in maintaining the status quo.
There is a strong desire for change and with your help, we can deliver that change.
The impact of your donation
Your support will help pay the £500 deposit required for us to contest the election. It will also help pay for vital campaign materials to ensure that we can spread our message to the residents of East Oxford. This campaign will also help us build greater support for the 2016 local election.
