About Us

Burgess Hill Albion FC is a Mid Sussex Football League club based at St John's Pavilion in Burgess Hill. The club was founded in 1996 by a group of teenage friends from the West Sussex area who attended the same youth club and has been reformed this year after one difficult season merged with Sussex County League side Hurstpierpoint FC (as Burgess Hill and Hurst Albion FC).

Our club ethos is to provide an enjoyable environment for people to share their passion for the beautiful game that is Football. The coming season will see us enter two teams in to the Mid Sussex Football League. The eighteen years the club has been in existence has been extreamly succesfull seeing the club win two Cups, five league titles and nine promotions as runners up.

Why do we need your help?

Firstly running a football club is expensive! We incurr costs of around £120 per team for each home game just for the hire of facilities and the match official. We rely on players membership fees to cover these costs but want to ensure the membership fees do not get too high to prevent players being able to play a game they love due to their financial situation. Our season as Burgess Hill & Hurst Albion has left us in a much tougher financial position then we would normally be in going into a new season.

We also want to ensure our players get the best opportunity to continue there football development having training equipment that is fit for purpose and kits that they can be proud to wear.

Across the country we currently have a massive issue with retaining players in the game after youth football. I am sure everyone who has played grassroots football throughout the years will know this is a massive shame as you can get so much from it. Learning the qualities of respect, hard work and developing lasting friendships. A long term goal of Burgess Hill Albion is to continue to develop the club to be a place where players who are finishing youth football want to come and join; increasing the number of local 16 year olds that are retained in football.

We are looking to raise £400 which we would use to buy training equipment, match balls and any funds that are left would be put towards a new kit for the season. We need to hit this target or we do not receive any of the donations.

We would hugely appreciate any support you can give us whether its £5 or £50.

We really need your help to continue being a great football club in the local community.
