Brad Cox is one of the top young amateur golfers in Dorset and is planning to play the British amateur golf tour for the 2017 season starting in April. He has been playing golf since he was 13 and five years later at the age of 18 he is playing off a +1 handicap. In 2016 he had a fantastic year where he won the Dorset junior county championship and followed that up by winning the Men's Dorset county stroke play championship.
Brad has also played for Dorset at both under 16 and 18 and is now a regular member of the Men's team.
As Dorset champion he qualified to play in the England champion of champions junior event at Woodhall Spa golf club where he finished runner up to an England international lad losing out by one shot.
Brad learn't the game at Sturminster Marshall golf club under the tuition of the resident pro Mike Dodd and is now coached by Dan Frost who works with a number of top amateurs and tour professionals and it was Dan who asked to coach Brad as he could see his potential. Anybody who knows Brad will know how hard he works to improve his game and will spend hours on the practice range or course.
Brad is also a qualified level 1 PGA golf coach and volunteers to help out at Sturminster Marshall golf club where he helps to coach the youngsters.
The money that you pledge will go towards the travel, accommodation and entry fees to enter all the main amateur events in the 2017 season and will include both the British and English amateur championships, the English stroke play championship and the British open (professional event)
