I am intending to self-publish my first set of physics story books for children which I have started writing and illustrating. I teach physics to ages 11 to 18 and know that by age 11 students have the perception that the subject is too hard and have a gender stereotype that the subject is just for boys.
I want to introduce physics early to children through stories which introduce the science but also make the subject gender neutral.
What to call this series of books?
My physics suitcase
(the entire book set can be bought in a little suitcase - books sold individually also)
What are the titles in the series?
It fell down. It got squashed. It burnt down. I cannot see it. Etc.
I have plans to write further series. My chemistry suitcase. My biology suitcase. My astronomy suitcase.
I have read some of my initial stories to children in primary and the response was amazing. The science was being discussed in a playful way which encouraged children to ask questions, to think and imagine.
I would very much appreciate your support with this initial series of books.
Pledges of £50 upwards will receive a signed copy of my first book series once it is printed as well as a personal thank you letter from me.
Donate whatever feels good to you, I appreciate all of your support :)
Thank you so much!
