I have recently met a young woman with diabetes called Poonam who has 3 young boys under the age of 5. She is currently pregnant with her fourth child (due to failed contraception) but she has no money to have the baby safely in a hospital where they can help with her diabetes. Poonam lost her first child at birth in a government hospital which was a terrible experience for her and her husband, the hospitals run by the government do not help diabetic women in pregnancy and she nearly died. Since then, with the next 3 children she was able to go to a private hospital to have her babies and they were born safely and healthy. She is a very brave woman, who runs her own shop but business is bad and she is still working everyday whilst she is 8.5 months pregnant for fear that she won't be able to afford to have her baby. She must return to work just one week after she has her newborn in order to feed her family and pay her rent. Please donate whatever you can to help save this beautiful woman and her baby.
