I am a mum of three children one boy and two girls. We have been living in the UK with my husband on dependants visa as he works for public sector. Over the course of these five years, I spent on my kids visa renewals more than £15,000 as Home Office application fees only. The Home Office application fees is payable per person no matter his/her age, so every time I renewed my visa, I had to pay the application fees times four. My husband (kids dad) is a working professional who is settled in the UK and sustained our life expenses plus the significantly high Home Office fees so far.
However, me and my children current visa is coming to end by November 2017 and then we will have to chose one of two options. The first is to apply for settlement visa which we are now entitled to. Settlement visa application fees has been increased this year to £2297 per applicant which means me and my children will need sum of at least £9188.
If we can't afford this option then we have to chose option two and leave the country which will result in the children and me live in a different country without their dad. This will badly impact on me and my children. It will ruin our family life.
If you find it unfair for me and my children to split over two countries, then please help me and my kids to go through this dilemma, I'm fundraising toward paying our settlement application fees.
