PaperMash are raising funds to help take our award winning comedy Happy Birthday Without You to Edinburgh Festival Fringe this Summer

New stretch target

We want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Due to your incredible generosity and support of this project, we have smashed our initial target of £3,000!

We want to make this production the biggest and best that it can be so the fundraising doesn't stop here. All additional money raised through this campaign will go towards enhancing our set and marketing campaign - meaning we can spread the message and get even more people through the doors to see a truly spectacular show.

By funding this project, you are investing in us as a company. The bigger and better the show in Edinburgh, the more people will hear about us, helping us launch ourselves as a company to watch, and allowing us to continue developing and making new exciting work to tour across the UK and beyond in the future.

We already have two incredibly exciting projects in the pipeline - and we'll keep all of our supporters updated about what we are up to.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You are marvellous people.

Love

PaperMash

Hello! Thanks for dropping by!

About Us

We are PaperMash Theatre. We are a company of two, we are one year old and we are very excited to be taking our award-winning show Happy Birthday Without You to Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2015. But to do this, we need your help! We need to raise £3,000 towards our total project costs of £7,500 (scroll down if you want to know exactly where this money will be going) to be able to take our show to Edinburgh.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a new company with a show that has already proven it has the potential to become a huge hit. Any donations will make a huge difference in our ability to deliver this project.

Please email us at papermashtheatre@gmail.com or follow us on twitter @PaperMashT for updates.

The Show

Happy Birthday Without You is a hilarious, award-winning comedy with lipstick, slapstick and a whole lot of Shirley Bassey. The show explores a growing cultural obsession with autobiography through the fictional performance artist Violet Fox. Violet Fox is a live and visual spoken word vegan solo artist and occasional collaborator. Today is a celebration of every birthday. And you’re invited. In ‘Happy Birthday Without You’ Violet tells the story of her complicated relationship with her mega diva mother.  Bring beer and bunting and come on a journey through her childhood of pop tarts, Patti Smith and second hand smoke.* *Warning: people usually cry.

It's going to be a cracker of an evening - we'd love to see you there!

NB : Make sure to choose the reward that includes the Fundraiser ticket if you want to come!

The Money Bit

Happy Birthday Without You has so far gone down a treat in Manchester and in London so we can’t wait to send Violet Fox packing up to Edinburgh to see what the Fringe punters make of her.

To do this we need your help. All donations will go such a long way so thank you so much in advance for all of your support.

We're a resourceful bunch, and have already worked hard to secure over half the production costs, and in kind support for the production, including:

- Rehearsal space

- PR Support

We are now looking to raise the final £3,000 which will go towards:

Set- We need to raise funds to go towards the materials, build, and props for the set, to make the space as slick and high tech as possible.

Travel and Accomodation - We're not asking for luxury - we will be sharing one room in Edinburgh, and your money will help pay for one month's rent.

Marketing - Is one of the most important elements of any budget, particularly when on the Fringe. With expert support from the Tricycle Theatre, we will be investing in a strong marketing campaign, including design and print of flyers and posters, a street team to help spread the word, and PR stunts across Edinburgh through the run.

For a full breakdown of our budget, or if you have any questions at all, then please email our producer Lise at papermashtheatre@gmail.com who is ready and waiting to help!

If we raise any less than our target, we won’t get any of it, so we really need your help! Thanks for taking the time to read about our project - please help us spread the word!
