'Greestone 42' Fine Art Degree show, University of Lincoln

This exhibition is the coming together of 42 art students of Lincoln University, to present their definitive work at degree level. The exhibition includes a variety of contemporary art work in medias ranging from sculpture and painting to video and sound. The degree show is extremely important to the the third year students, as it is our chance to show what we have accomplished over the past three years. For many of us, its success will represent a stepping stone into our future careers. Due to the current financial climate, we are struggling to gain sponsorship from local businesses, which for previous years has been the main source of funding. The degree show is completely organised by the students. The show opens on 3rd of June and we are seeking sponsorship to fund catalogues, posters, website and catering. As you may know the arts are suffering financial cuts in funding, which looks to only get worse. This is something that as Fine art students we all feel very strongly about. This is your opportunity to invest in promoting and helping the arts. We are kindly asking for any donations, whether big or small to help us with our degree show. All donations will be greatly received and rewarded for their generosity. As part of the reward scheme, we are offering artist postcards which are individual and unique postcards created by the Fine art students. These feature a range of mediums from drawing, photography and text.
