'A Constituency I have lived in for 33 years'
My name is Shasha Khan and I live in Selhurst with my wife and daughter. May 7th 2015 will be the fourth occasion my local party has selected me as candidate for Croydon North constituency, a constituency I have lived in for 33 years.
Over the years hundreds of people have joined the Green Party in Croydon because they have noticed we do things differently. Politics should work for the benefit of all, not just those who shout the loudest or have the deepest pockets. We believe in the common good.
I founded Friends of Thornton Heath Recreation Ground in 2007, following years of neglect for this park. I am a trustee of Queens Community Centre, a community hall which I secured with colleagues in the Bensham Manor Community Association. To protect the community I live in I have taken my neighbouring council to the High Court for approving a deadly air polluting waste incinerator.
Croydon North A5 flyer
£168 is what it would cost to print 5000 A5 flyers.
The Green Party is not funded by a few multi-million pound donations from companies or individuals like other parties. We are reliant on small donations from members and supporters to stand candidates across the country.
To ensure voters know the Green Party is standing, and equally important, know what we stand for, we need funds for leaflets and posters.
Crowdfunder is great way for Croydon Greens to raise valuable funds needed to fund a successful campaign here in Croydon North
It will be thanks to people like you that we can give local people are chance to elect a Green MP in 2015
Please ensure you are on the electoral register - this is a requirement of donating to a political party. And you'll need to be on it to vote next year - register here if you're not.
If you pledge £500 or over (which would be amazing!), you must be willing to provide your contact details and address
