Give the voters of the Isle of Wight a real choice in May 2015 - a Green choice for a green island
The Isle of Wight has had a green identity for many years - and 2015 is the time to put this into practice and get a strong voice standing up for the people on our Island.
Vix Lowthion is our candidate and she is working hard listening to islanders, spreading the policies of the Green Party and learning more from local businesses. However, this alone won't be enough. A General Election campaign can cost quite a bit of money - and the IW Green Party is funded almost entirely by donations.
Here is where you can help. If you believe that all of our political parties deserve to be on an equal platform, and that you would like more information about the Green Party to be heard by all islanders, then please donate.
Donations will be spent in the next few months on leaflets, posters, visits to villages and towns and if we exceed our target we could even stretch to billboards and other very visible signs.
Vix says "I am thrilled that the Green Surge has hit our island. Membership of the Green Party locally has ballooned in the last year and we are now fighting a much bigger campaign. The Green Party is concerned about publicly funded transport, our NHS, a more equal economy and building on a broad spectrum of renewable energy technologies. We need to think positively about our island and how we can build on our strengths and improve the quality of life for everyone."
To elect a Green MP is the greatest signal to the rest of the UK and beyond that this is our statement: we believe in sustainability, in social equality, in investing for the future and in working for the Common Good.
